MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING HANDBOOK (McGraw-Hill Professional, 2004) Amazon's Book Review (Accessed date: July 12, 2015) 4.8 out of 5 stars: 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful By Thomas H. Brown Jr. on July 20, 2004 Format: Hardcover Comment Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Sending feedback... This new handbook from McGraw-Hill sets the bar high in the wealth of information on manufacturing engineering in the over 60 chapters it contains. Each chapter has been carefully selected for it relevant content in today's global manufacturing environment, and it is clear the author of each chapter is an expert in their field. It is easy to read, and while you want to at first read it from cover to cover, it is organized to allow quick access to just the right information needed. Mr. Geng has done a fantastic job of bringing these experts together to produce a single-source reference. I highly recommend it to anyone, engineers or technicians, desiring to learn and apply the latest manufacturing technology. Thank you for your feedback. I found this book to be well-organized and easy to read. It is a quick and easy-to-use reference for engineers, and covers a wide variety of manufacturing operations issues. I think it would be a great resource especially for senior students planning to enter the workforce, and professional engineers in the automative, aerospace, and plastic molding industries. Contained many fundamental analyses and methodologies that manufacturing engineers may need to know. The author did not assume extensive mathematics or industrial know-hows in preparing this book. I recommend it for all manufacturing engineers as their personal work bible. SEMICONDUCTOR MANUFACTURING HANDBOOK (McGraw-Hill Professional, 2005) Amazon's Book Review (Accessed date: July 12, 2015) 6 of 7 people found the following review helpful Format: Hardcover This book provides an excellent overview of all aspects of semiconductor manufacturing. Many books on semiconductor processing focus on the "front end" processing: ion implantation, lithography, thin film deposition and so on. These are, of course, critical steps in manufacturing integrated circuits, but there are many other aspects as well, such as metrology, clean room management, particles, yield management, material handling, and waste management. This is the only book I am aware of that covers everything. As the author of the CVD chapter, I may not be 100% objective, but I have found this handbook to be a great reference.
